Kindergarten Meet & Greet
The Social Committee invites all rising kindergarteners and their parents to join us
on Saturday, August 1st at the Woodlands playground for our
Kindergarten Meet & Greet from 9:30–10:30 AM.
This event is a wonderful opportunity for your rising kindergartener
to meet classmates who live in the neighborhood, and for parents to connect with one another.
A PTA representative from Little River ES will also be present to answer any questions you may have.
We look forward to seeing you there!

WOODSTOCK, GA (January 30, 2026) — Woodstock Mayor Michael Caldwell delivered
his 2026 State of the City Address Friday morning celebrating historic progress and
outlining an ambitious vision for Woodstock’s future. Speaking to city leaders, partners,
and residents, the Mayor declared the state of the city “stronger, safer, and
better off than it was four years ago,” while reaffirming the city’s guiding mission:
“We are building a city that feels like home.”
WOODSTOCK NATURE TRAIL EXTENSION New Nature Trail extension connecting Noonday Creek Trail, which will run from Market St., under HWY 92, and will extend
Woodstock's Trail system to Cobb County's Noonday Creek Park. Once Cobb County completes its segment of this trail,
all of Woodstock's Trails, including the Woodlands Nature Trails
will connect to the Silver Comet Trail.

June 2026 Due to weather conditions, site work activities were limited. ICAN (contractor) completed the trail remediation work at the Woodlands open space field ovals. CMU (Concrete Block) installation at Woodland’s restroom building is 95% complete. ICAN poured the multi-use trail at the west loop of the Woodland’s open space field ovals. ICAN completed the force main boring under Little River at Trickum Road. ICAN drove the piles for the boardwalk bridge at the west loop of the Woodland’s open space field ovals. ICAN began the utility line construction at Trickum Road.
May 2026
Scheduled site work was impacted by 3.2 inches of rain received on May 6th and 7th. ICAN graded the Trickum Road playground to subgrade and hit granite in a small portion of the second loop. The playground installer is working on adjusting the equipment footing layouts to avoid this area. ICAN attempted to bore the force line beneath the river and hit rock. ICAN is bringing in a new drilling rig to address the on-site rock conditions. ICAN continued the trail remediation work in the Woodland’s ovals. ICAN continued with the backfilling along the Linear Corridor trail. ICAN dug the footings at Trickum Road and Woodland’s restroom locations. ICAN installed the plumbing at the Trickum Road and Woodland’s restroom locations. The surveyor staked the Trickum Road playground and lower entry road in detail.
April 2026
ICAN continued with the backfilling, seeding, and strawing along the Linear Corridor. ICAN poured the concrete trail from Station 2+50 to Station 13+50 along the Linear Corridor. ICAN began the installation of the boardwalk at the north side of Bridge #2 along the Linear Corridor. ICAN began exporting topsoil from the Trickum Road playground to the Woodlands dog park location. ICAN continued exporting topsoil from the Trickum Road parking lot to the Woodlands dog park location. ICAN continued with the backfilling, seeding, and strawing along the Linear Corridor. ICAN completed the boardwalk construction at the south side of Trickum Road prefabricated pedestrian. ICAN completed the clearing for the north side approach to Trickum Road prefabricated pedestrian. ICAN began pile driving on the north side of Bridge #2 along the Linear Corridor. ICAN completed the placement of rock and grading at the abutments located at Station 15+25 along the Linear Corridor. A roll test from Station 1+00 to Station 16+25 along the Linear Corridor was completed on April 13th. ICAN poured the concrete trail from Station 13+00 to Station 16+35 along the Linear Corridor. ICAN completed backfilling, seeding, and strawing up to Station 16+35 along the Linear Corridor. ICAN continue with the installation of the boardwalk bridge crossings over the tributaries located throughout the linear corridor. ICAN completed the installation of the pond trail boardwalk at Trickum Road. ICAN began boardwalk construction at the south side of Trickum Road prefabricated pedestrian. ICAN began clearing for the north side approach to Trickum Road prefabricated pedestrian. ICAN began placing rock at the boardwalk bridge crossing abutments over the tributaries located throughout the linear corridor. ICAN began backfilling, seeding and strawing along the completed sections of the Linear Corridor. ICAN continued the installation of the pond trail boardwalk at Trickum Road. ICAN continued pile driving at the south side of Trickum Road prefabricated pedestrian. ICAN continued with the grading at the playground at Trickum Road. ICAN continued to work on the batter boards for the Woodlands and Trickum Road restrooms.
March 2026 ICAN poured the multi-use trailway to station 16+25 along the Linear Corridor. ICAN continued the installation of the pond trail boardwalk at Trickum Road. ICAN staked and began pile driving on the southside of prefabricated pedestrian bridge at Trickum Road. ICAN began grading at the playground at Trickum Road. Batter boards with line and grades for the restrooms at Trickum Road and Woodlands have been set. Site work progress was heavily impacted by weather for the week of March 9th.
ICAN completed pile driving and installation of the boardwalk at the first tributary crossing along the Linear Corridor.
ICAN continued with limited pile driving for boardwalk pond segments at Trickum Road. ICAN installed the first prefabricated pedestrian over Little River at Trickum Road. Site work progress was impacted by weather for the week of March 2nd. ICAN prepared and poured approximately 1000 LF of multi-use trail along the Linear Corridor. ICAN began pile driving at the first tributary crossing along the Linear Corridor. ICAN continued with the remediation for the multi-use trail loops located at Woodland’s open space field. ICAN began pile driving for boardwalk pond segments at Trickum Road.
A second bridge was delivered to the Little River Park construction site today. We are getting closer to opening. This is still an active construction zone. Please stay off the trails until we officially open the park for your safety and to prevent delays.
FEBRUARY 2026
In 2023, Woodstock voters approved a $24M parks bond referendum
paving the way for a historic investment in the city's parks and trails.
The timing for the nine projects included in the referendum is divided into two phases.
Phase one projects have nearly all of the right of way required, have
approved concept plans, and construction can proceed quicker.
Phase two projects can run concurrent, but require engineering and
other preparations before going to construction.
PHASE 1 PROJECT UPDATES Little River ParkThe Little River Park Project will double the amount of green space
in the City of Woodstock. The 110-acre park will transform Woodstock’s
outdoor recreational landscape and be Woodstock's largest park.
The park's master plan is made up of three areas:
Trickum Road Park Zone
Linear Corridor Zone
Woodlands Park Zone
The Trickum Road Park Zone
features a boardwalk trail-way, restrooms, a group pavilion and classroom,
a creative play area, three picnic areas with family pavilions, a nature trail, a pond
with fishing and paddle craft platforms.
The Linear Corridor Zone
is flanked by two pedestrian bridges, one connecting to the Trickum Road Park and
another connecting to Woodlands Park, plus a 1.75 mile boardwalk trail-way.
The Woodlands Park Zone
features a large breed dog park and a small breed dog park,
restrooms, a trail-way and open space fields.
